Why did you decide to join SETX Chapter ARN? |
| “I want to be involved in every aspect
of rehabilitation. I want to know other health care professionals
who care for rehabilitation patients. I want to further my knowledge
base.” |
| |
|
Hobbies, Special Interests: |
| “My husband and I love to Country and
Western dance. We also like to fish. I love to garden.” |
|
|
Previous Experience,
especially as
relates to your becoming/practice as a rehabilitation nurse: |
|
“I became involved in rehabilitation when my
now 23 year old daughter was born with Spina Bifida. I was excited
(and still am) to see the results of the rehabilitation process. I
attended nursing school and found myself time and time again
involved in rehabilitation. I love the smiles I receive from the
patients along with the tears I share with them as they rest on my
shoulder.” |
|
|
What does Rehabilitation Nursing means to me:
The “Back Door” of Nursing |
| “Rehabilitation nursing is the “back
door” of nursing. We see the patients after events have changed
their lives and often their values. We have been given the
opportunity to guide them into and through new facets of their
lives.”
And on a final note, Dee Jae writes….
I am proud to be a member of ARN!
