SETX Chapter ARN Member Since:  2004

SETX Chapter ARN Involvement: Denise writes, “I assist in many areas, but have not been on any committees. I have assisted for three years on the Expo and 2 years with the Rehabilitation Nursing Review Workshop.”

Why did you decide to join SETX Chapter ARN?
“I joined SETX Chapter ARN for what it stands for. The educational programs are enjoyable. Also, the Chapter looks at me as a nurse, not the title that I have behind my name.”

Awards Received:
“The only award that I have is the reward I get from helping people.”

Community Involvement: ARN for 2 years
Board of LHI for 2 years
ARC Kids Bowling for 5 years
Exceptional Accomplishment:
“I volunteered in a local nursing home for over 1,0000 hours before becoming a nurse.”

Hobbies, Special Interests:
“ I enjoy making posters, knitting, bowling, and crafts of all types.”
Previous Experience:

“I worked for 13 years in a nursing home, of which 3 years was with Alzheimer patients. I worked 9-10 years with the physically disabled population. I have been in nursing since 1977.”

What does Rehabilitation Nursing means to me:
“I enjoy helping the needy and seeing how much harder they work to do the things that need to be done.”
