Position: Staff Nurse, Rehabilitation Unit

Enjoys direct patient care of rehabilitation patients.

SNPPC Representative – representing our unit at a monthly staff nursing professional practice council meeting. I relay new issues and nursing updates to co-workers

Skin Nurse Resource – give in-services about skin wounds (pressure ulcers) prevention; do quarterly skin prevalence study (checking pressure ulcers).

What does Rehabilitation Nursing means to me:

“Rehabilitation nursing is a way of helping the patient to regain their strength and be back in their community life productively. Working in rehabilitation makes me appreciate my blessing in life and those people around me.”
