Why did you decide to join SETX Chapter ARN? |
| Maureen writes, “It’s important to have
a voice in the changing rehabilitation arena. It’s also great
networking with other rehab nurses.” |

Exceptional Accomplishment: |
| “I have just completed training to be a
facilitator for the DDI leadership programs at Spring Branch.” |
| |
|
Hobbies, Special Interests: |
| “I am a ballroom, swing, and Latin dance
instructor. I love to dance and perform. I also am very active in
rescue and placement of retired racing greyhounds with Greyhound
Pets of America. They make fabulous, loving companion pets once
their careers are over.” |

Previous Experience: |
|
Maureen has previous experience in Med-Surg,
ICU, ER, Pain Management and rehabilitation in several facilities.
Rehabilitation is her favorite area of nursing practice. |

|
What does Rehabilitation Nursing means to me: |
| “Once the diagnosis has been made, and
the tests and surgeries are over, then the real road to recover
begins. It’s rehabilitation nurses and staff who guide the patient
on that journey.”
And on a final note….
“Stay active…mentally, physically, spiritually and politically.
We need to protect and defend our profession.”
